Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking PGCE-qualified tutors to support children and young people across the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area with personalised 1:1 tuition. Sessions span primary to post-16, with flexible hours to fit your commitments.

You'll work with learners who may require alternative education provision, building confidence and adapting lessons to individual needs. DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• PGCE qualification.
• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, TA, etc.).
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver preferred; willing to travel locally across the BCP area.

Flexible Tutoring Opportunities Across All Age Groups

We're looking for PGCE-qualified Tutors to support children and young people across the BCP area through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored educational support to learners ranging from primary age through to post-16. Every placement is different, giving you the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups, subjects, and learning needs while helping students achieve positive outcomes.

Many of the learners we support require alternative educational provision and benefit from a tutor who can build confidence, adapt learning to individual needs, and create a positive educational experience.

Location: BCP

Age Range: Primary, Secondary & Post-16

Start Date: September

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Requirements

• PGCE qualification
• Minimum 6 months' experience working in an educational setting, including teaching, tutoring, learning support, mentoring, teaching assistant, or similar roles
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across the BCP area
