Job summary

Pinnacle Group seeks a Gatehouse Security Officer to ensure safety and security of our sites. Based in Carrington, Manchester, you will be responsible for greeting visitors, patrolling premises, and responding to incidents with strong communication and reliable attendance.

The role is full-time, 42.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday 9:30 am - 6 pm. SIA badge (SG/DS) is essential; CCTV licence is an advantage; UK driving licence required; transport access advised.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Badge - SG or DS Licence required.
• SIA CCTV licence is an advantage.
• Holder of a UK Manual driver’s licence required.
• Access to own transport due to location & shift patterns.
• Experience working in a gatehouse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet visitors, staff and contractors at the gatehouse.
• Conduct routine vehicle patrols and detect signs of intrusion or unusual activity.
• Respond to alarms and incidents to mitigate risks.
• Liaise with local authorities in emergencies.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and log activities.
• Operate switchboard and monitor premises from the control room.
• Maintain clear radio communications using the phonetic alphabet.

Job description

• Meet and greet visitors, staff and contractors and manage the gatehouse environment.
• Conduct routine vehicle patrols of assigned premises and detect signs of any intrusion or unusual activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
• Liaise with local authorities, including police, emergency healthcare services or fire extinguishers in case of an emergency.
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, logging all security-related activities and occurrences.
• Operate a telephone switchboard and use client software in the control room. Your role will involve monitoring premises, conducting regular vehicle patrols, responding to incidents, and maintaining detailed reports. You will need to be observant, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills.
• This is a full-time role x 42 ½ hours per week, working Monday to Friday 9.30 am - 6 pm. If you are committed to providing a secure environment and have a strong sense of responsibility, we would love to hear from you.
