Job summary

Pinnacle Group Limited is seeking a Gatehouse Security Officer to safeguard our sites in Urmston. You will join our Workplace Security Team and be responsible for visitor access, routine vehicle patrols, and incident responses. A valid SIA badge is essential and access to transport is required due to the site location.

This full-time role (42.5 hours/week) runs Monday to Friday, 9:30 am–6 pm. You will log detailed security reports, liaise with authorities when needed and operate in the control

Qualifications

• SIA badge or DS licence is essential; SG licence accepted.
• UK manual driving licence required.
• Experience working in a gatehouse.
• Ability to use Phonetic Alphabet and communicate clearly.
• Full 5-year UK checkable work history.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet visitors, staff and contractors and manage the gatehouse environment.
• Conduct routine vehicle patrols of assigned premises and detect signs of intrusion or unusual activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents, mitigating risks.
• Liaise with local authorities such as police and emergency services as needed.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and logs of security activities.
• Operate a telephone switchboard and use client software in the control room.

Pinnacle Group is looking for a Gatehouse Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our properties and sites. You will be joining our Workplace Security Teams based in Carrington, Manchester M31. Access to own transport is essential as there is NO public transport to the site **

Pinnacle Workplace delivers tailored facilities management solutions across cleaning, security, catering and specialist industrial services. With nearly 600 colleagues nationwide, the team supports clients in manufacturing, retail, education and office environments.

Your role will involve monitoring premises, conducting regular vehicle patrols, responding to incidents, and maintaining detailed reports. You will need to be observant, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills.

This is a full-time role x 42 ½hours per week, working Monday to Friday 9.30 am - 6 pm.

Key requirements will include:

• Valid SIA Badge SG or DS Licence * Essential
• SIA CCTV Licence * advantage
• Experience working in a gatehouse
• Holder of a UK Manual driver's licence * Essential
• Basic IT applications and digital devices
• Access to own transport * due to location & shift patterns
• Strong, clear communicator, as you will be using Radio Control
• Must be able to use and understand the Phonetic Alphabet
• Full 5-year UK checkable work history
