Job summary

EGGER UK is seeking a Dispatch Operator at the Gatehouse in Hexham to coordinate site logistics and dispatch activities with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be the first point of contact for drivers and visitors, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth operations.

The role requires good IT skills, strong organisation and excellent communication. A proactive, precise approach and health & safety awareness are essential; prior logistics or gatehouse experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delivery documentation for outgoing goods.
• Process goods issue transactions and maintain records.
• Operate the site weighbridge for inbound/outbound vehicles.
• Coordinate vehicle movements between trailer park and facilities.
• Register visitors, contractors and drivers per security.
• Operate the switchboard outside normal hours.
• Assist with Emergency Contact Centre procedures.
• Present EGGER professionally to site visitors.
