Job summary

Culina is seeking a Gatehouse and Despatch Clerk for our Contract Logistics division in the UK. This full-time, permanent role focuses on ingating and out-gating vehicles and ensuring accurate paperwork and timely loading and despatch.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 2pm–10pm, with a salary of £25,740 per annum plus a £1,000 shift allowance. You will liaise with drivers, control bays, and maintain site security and records.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is essential for accurate receipting and despatch.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a team player who can also work on own initiative.
• Good PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Able to work to tight deadlines and maintain accuracy.
• Strong problem solving and tenacity in gate operations.

Responsibilities

• Receipting and despatching loads in a timely and secure manner.
• Liaising with drivers at inbound/outbound gates.
• Coordinate with Operations to allocate bays for vehicles.
• Check and seal vehicles on exit, ensuring correct paperwork.
• Complete inbound/outbound paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Book deliveries into allocated slots using the inbound schedule.
• Use CCTV to maintain site security and assist with site checks.
• Support security checks/searches as required by site policy.
• Perform any other duties as reasonably required by the company.
