Sureserve is recruiting a qualified Heating Engineer to service and maintain domestic gas systems across the Derby region. You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs, perform planned maintenance and ensure safety and high workmanship while delivering excellent customer service on every visit.

With CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 and CKR1 qualifications and a valid UK driving licence, you’ll work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday with on-call duties.

• Knowledge of gas safety regulations.

Salary: £35,875 - £45,000 (with £45,000 being the average of OTE inc. callout)

Location: Derby covering allDE postcodes & NG postcode areas

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40

Working pattern: Monday to Friday with on-call requirements

Holiday entitlement : 20 + Bank Holidays (increases with service)

About the role

Responsible for ensuring heating and hot water systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, helping customers stay comfortable in their homes. You'll diagnose faults, complete repairs, carry out planned maintenance, and provide a high standard of workmanship while delivering excellent customer service at every visit.

What we're looking for

• Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)
• Valid UK driving licence (essential)
• Previous practical experience in gas maintenance within a domestic capacity
• Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• A professional and friendly attitude with the ability to forge strong relationships with both clients and tenants
