Sureserve in Crewe is seeking a skilled gas service engineer to diagnose faults, carry out repairs and planned maintenance on domestic heating systems, ensuring safety and efficiency. You will deliver high workmanship and strong customer service on every visit.
Requirements include CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, a valid UK driving licence, and hands-on domestic gas experience. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week with on-call duties and a benefits package.

Salary: £35,875 - £45,000 (with £45,000 being the average of OTE inc. callout)
Location: Crewe covering all CW postcodes & WA6

Working Hours: 40
Working pattern: Monday to Friday with on‑call requirements
Holiday entitlement: 20 + Bank Holidays (increases with service)
Responsible for ensuring heating and hot water systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, helping customers stay comfortable in their homes. You'll diagnose faults, complete repairs, carry out planned maintenance, and provide a high standard of workmanship while delivering excellent customer service at every visit.
Carry out service and maintenance works on a variety of domestic properties across the region
Ensuring high levels of customer care in dealing with clients and tenants to meet the required quality standards
Communicate updates and progress of work, completing the required paperwork electronically and manually
Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)
Valid UK driving licence (essential)
Previous practical experience in gas maintenance within a domestic capacity
Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
A professional and friendly attitude with the ability to forge strong relationships with both clients and tenants
