Job summary

Sureserve is seeking a Domestic Gas Engineer to service and maintain heating and hot water systems across the Yorkshire region. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and carry out planned maintenance while delivering high workmanship and excellent customer service on every visit.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence and domestic gas qualifications, with Monday to Friday work and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 gas qualifications (essential).
• Valid UK driving licence (essential).
• Experience in domestic gas maintenance.
• Solid knowledge of gas safety regs and standards.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Professional, friendly attitude to build client/tenant relationships.

£17.33 per hour (£36,046 annually)

About The Role

Responsible for ensuring heating and hot water systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, helping customers stay comfortable in their homes. You'll diagnose faults, complete repairs, carry out planned maintenance, and provide a high standard of workmanship while delivering excellent customer service at every visit.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carry out service and maintenance works on a variety of domestic properties across the region
• Ensuring high levels of customer care in dealing with clients and tenants to meet the required quality standards
• Communicate updates and progress of work, completing the required paperwork electronically and manually

What we’re looking for

• Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)
• Valid UK driving licence (essential)
• Previous practical experience in gas maintenance within a domestic capacity
• Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• A professional and friendly attitude with the ability to forge strong relationships with both clients and tenants
