Job summary

Hillier Garden Centre is looking for a friendly Garden Centre Assistant (Food & Beverage) to join our team in Newbury. You will serve food and drinks, prepare hot beverages and uphold high standards of service.

This permanent, 30-hour per week role includes weekend work and occasional peak-period hours. There is a generous benefits package and on-site parking. Full training will be provided to support your development.

Hillier Garden Centre atNewburyis looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Garden Centre Assistant (Food & Beverage) to join our team.

Working within our Restaurantyou'll help create a welcoming experience for customers by serving food and drinks, preparing hot beverages and maintaining high standards of customer service.

This is a permanent role with guaranteed 30hours per week, worked on a rota basis, including some weekend working. Additional hours are regularly available during peak trading periods, so we are looking for candidates who can offer flexibility to increase their working hours when required.

Hourly rate of pay up to £12.71 per hour. Actual pay will be determined in line with National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving food and drinks.
• Making hot beverages, including coffee.
• Handling customer queries and payments.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and presentation.
• Clearing and cleaning customer areas.
• Replenishing stock and displays.
• Supporting seasonal promotions and events.
