Job summary

Dignity Funeral Directors, Wilton Funeral Directors in Belfast, is seeking a Funeral Service Specialist to lead the branch day-to-day, support families with empathy, and contribute to funeral plan sales. Full-time, permanent role with comprehensive training and UK-wide service ethos.

You will oversee operations, build trusted local relationships and guide ceremonial duties when needed, while growing a career in end-of-life care within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Empathy and calm demeanor in sensitive situations.
• Experience in customer service, care or admin is beneficial; training provided.
• Strong communication, organisation and administrative skills.
• Confident with legal paperwork.
• PC literate: Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Willing to work weekends/on-call if needed.
• Full UK Driving Licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support families with empathy and professionalism.
• Arrange funerals meeting family wishes and legal requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and presentation.
• Build relationships with suppliers, care homes and local communities.
• Lead chapel visits and assist with ceremonial duties.
• Promote funeral plans and contribute to plan sales.
• Train in Funeral Conducting to assist during peaks.
