Co‑op is recruiting a Funeral Arranger in Watford to build strong client relationships and coordinate funeral arrangements while maintaining a caring, professional environment. The role involves direct contact with the deceased as needed and reliable use of digital systems for documentation and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Clear written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to handle numbers, cash handling, discounts and invoicing basics.
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy, adhering to regulatory policies.
• Good IT skills to use devices and learn new applications.
• Passion for delivering great service and building relationships.
• High levels of empathy, discretion and care.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving coffins, with training.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues as needed.
• Work with digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer all regulated work (funeral plans) to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist in the care and preparation of the deceased (hair, make-up, transport) with training.
• Update client management applications with accurate, timely information.
