Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners at ST16 2DH, Stafford. The role centres on improving English and/or Maths through personalised support, with regular feedback and progress monitoring.

Part-time work during weekdays between school hours, with competitive hourly pay and weekly PAYE payments. A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) and the right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
• Experience with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
• SEN experience.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners across ST16 2DH, Stafford. This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners build confidence and develop their English and/or Maths skills through personalised support.

• Deliver engaging 1:1 Functional Skills tuition sessions.
• Plan lessons tailored to each child's individual learning needs.
• Support learners in Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support different learning styles, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.

Minimum 1 year's teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
Experience with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
SEN experience.
Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.

Flexible part-time work during weekdays between school hours.
Competitive hourly pay.
Weekly pay every Friday via PAYE.
Ongoing support from a dedicated TP Tutors consultant.
