Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition in Stockport (SK17).

The role focuses on Functional Skills English and/or Maths, with part-time hours during school terms. You should have experience in tutoring or teaching and, ideally, QTS/PGCE, DBS checks, and right to work in the UK. Benefits include flexible working and ongoing support from a consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or teaching in school, college, or alternative education setting.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or a relevant teaching/tutoring qualification is desirable but not essential for candidates with suitable experience.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to provide professional references.

• Plan and adapt lessons to meet each learner's individual needs and ability.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Functional Skills Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition for learners in the Stockport (SK17) area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tutor, teacher, or education professional who is passionate about helping learners develop their Functional Skills in English and/or Maths, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals.
