Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to support Primary and Secondary learners across Stafford. This is a part-time role providing personalised 1:1 tuition in English and/or Maths, with flexible weekdays during school hours.

You'll plan lessons tailored to each child, adapt to different learning styles including SEN, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback. DBS check and right to work in the UK are required; weekly PAYE payments are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience delivering 1:1 Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths.
• Experience working with Primary and Secondary-aged learners, including SEN.
• DBS checks and right to work in the UK are required or in progress.

Location: ST17 9LX, Stafford
Hours: Part-Time | Weekdays Between School Hours
Pay: £25–£30 per hour+

TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners across Stafford.

The Role

• Deliver engaging 1:1 Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths.

• Plan lessons according to each child's individual learning needs and abilities.

• Adapt lessons to support different learning styles, including pupils with SEN.

• Help learners build confidence and improve their academic progress.

• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year's UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience working with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
• SEN experience.
• Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
