Job summary

TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners across OL13, Bacup, Lancashire. This part-time role offers flexible hours during school days.

The position requires at least 1 year of UK teaching or tutoring experience, SEN knowledge, and the right to work in the UK. Weekly PAYE pay and ongoing consultant support are provided.

• 1+ years of teaching or tutoring in the UK.
• Experience with Primary and Secondary learners.
• SEN experience and ability to adapt teaching methods.

Responsibilities

TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners across OL13, Bacup, Lancashire. This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners build confidence and develop their English and/or Maths skills through personalised support.

The Role

• Deliver engaging 1:1 Functional Skills tuition sessions.
• Plan lessons tailored to each child's individual learning needs.
• Support learners in Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support different learning styles, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback after each session.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year's teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
• Experience with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
• SEN experience.
• Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
