Job summary

Teaching Personnel’s TP Tutors is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide 1:1 English and/or Maths tuition to Primary and Secondary learners across Stafford (ST17 9LX). Part-time hours during weekdays with pay £25–£30 per hour+.

Deliver lessons tailored to each learner, adapt for different styles including SEN, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback. UK right to work and enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
• SEN experience.
• Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English and/or Maths.

Hours: Part-Time | Weekdays Between School Hours
Pay: £25–£30 per hour+

TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners across Stafford.

The Role

• Deliver engaging 1:1 Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths.

• Plan lessons according to each child's individual learning needs and abilities.

• Adapt lessons to support different learning styles, including pupils with SEN.

• Help learners build confidence and improve their academic progress.

• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year's UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience working with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
• SEN experience.
• Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
