Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Function al Skills Maths Tutor to deliver individualised math tuition in Runcorn. The role runs 5–15 hours per week with a September 2026 start date, supporting a learner to improve mathematical understanding and confidence through structured, engaging sessions.

You will plan around the learner's level, target weaknesses, and track progress. A DBS check and UK work rights are required; QTS/PGCE or relevant tutoring experience are desirable for this ongoing

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring Maths.
• Functional Skills experience is highly desirable.
• Strong subject knowledge.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Patient and adaptable teaching style.
• QTS, PGCE or relevant tutoring experience desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to process a new application.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Two professional references.
