Job summary

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking Functional Skills Maths Tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to learners across Liverpool. Sessions will be tailored around each learner’s current ability and goals, with a focus on developing practical Maths skills and working towards Functional Skills qualifications.

Hours are 5-15 per week with a September 2026 start and ongoing duration. Successful applicants will have experience delivering Functional Skills Maths, strong numeracy knowledge, and

Are you an experienced Maths teacher or tutor? Prospero Teaching are looking for Functional Skills Maths Tutors across Liverpool!

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking Functional Skills Maths Tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to learners across Liverpool.

You’ll support students who may have gaps in their education or require additional help developing their numeracy skills.

Sessions will be tailored around each learner’s current ability and goals, with a focus on developing practical Maths skills and working towards Functional Skills qualifications.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths
• Strong Maths and numeracy subject knowledge
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience
• Experience supporting learners with gaps in education is desirable
• QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable
• A flexible and learner-focused teaching style
