Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Functional Skills / Employability Tutor to deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability to learners within a classroom environment at our Cambridgeshire centre.

The role is full-time and permanent, offering a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 depending on qualifications and experience. You will plan engaging sessions, adapt delivery methods, and promote equality, safeguarding and health and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have classroom-based teaching experience in Functional Skills and Employability.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Teaching qualification.
• Hold Level 2 Maths or English qualification or above.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability to learners within a classroom environment.
• Plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions tailored to individual learner needs.
• Utilise existing resources and prepare new materials as required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• Adapt delivery methods to learners' needs and provide differentiation.
• Assist learners in identifying skills to progress towards career aspirations.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

• The successful candidate mustbeversatile and have the abilitytoadapt delivery methods and vocations, dependent upon thecoverrequired at the time.
• Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employabilityto learners within a classroom environment.
• To plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions, tailored to individual learner needs.
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.

Essential Criteria

• Must have experience of delivering classroom-based teaching, ideally across Functional Skills and Employability.
• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 3 Teaching qualification.
• Hold own Maths or English qualifications at Level 2, or above.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
• Demonstrableenergy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
