Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Functional Skills / Employability Tutor to deliver classroom-based training in Cambridgeshire. The role covers Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability, with planning of engaging sessions and tailored delivery for learners.

You will provide ongoing guidance and adapt methods to learner needs. Essential criteria include Level 3 Teaching qualification and Level 2 Maths or English, plus a full UK driving licence.

• Experience delivering classroom-based teaching, ideally across Functional Skills and Employability.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions tailored to learner needs.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability to learners in a classroom.
• Plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions tailored to individual learner needs.
• Utilise existing resources and prepare own materials when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing information, advice and guidance to learners.
• Be flexible with delivery methods and adapt quickly to learner needs.

Job Title: Functional Skills / Employability Tutor
Location: Cambridgeshire – Centre based
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (Depending on qualifications and experience)
Type: Full-time, Permanent

Duties: The successful candidate mustbeversatile and have the abilitytoadapt delivery methods and vocations, dependent upon thecoverrequired at the time.

• Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employabilityto learners within a classroom environment.

• To plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions, tailored to individual learner needs.

• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.

• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.

• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.

• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.

• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have experience of delivering classroom-based teaching, ideally across Functional Skills and Employability.

• Hold – or be willing to work towards – a Level 3 Teaching qualification.

• Hold own Maths or English qualifications at Level 2, or above.

• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.

• Demonstrableenergy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
