Novus, the prison education provider, invites applications for a Cover Teacher role at HMP Northumberland, Morpeth. This ad-hoc position provides essential teaching cover across various curriculum areas to cover sickness.

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Northumberland, working as a Cover Teacher on an ad-hoc basis. The role is to provide essential teaching cover for a variety of curriculum areas to cover sickness.

Site Information

HMP Northumberland is a Category C men's prison, located in Morpeth near the village of Acklington in Northumberland, England. The teams aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe, and where causes of prison stress are minimised. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.
