Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd is seeking a part-time Functional Skills Tutor to deliver one-to-one tuition in English and/or Maths in the Stockton-on-Tees (DL2 1AX) area during school hours. The role focuses on building confidence and practical literacy and numeracy skills, with flexible weekday hours and ongoing CPD.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Functional Skills or GCSE English/Maths, excellent communication, and a patient, learner-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Functional Skills, GCSE English and/or Maths or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in English and/or Maths.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-to-one Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths.
• Plan and tailor lessons to meet each learner's individual needs and learning goals.
• Prepare students for Functional Skills assessments and qualifications.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise learner outcomes.

Are you passionate about helping learners achieve their full potential? TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Functional Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality one-to-one tuition to learners in the Stockton-on-Tees (DL2 1AX) area.

This rewarding role involves supporting learners in Functional Skills English and/or Maths, helping them develop practical literacy and numeracy skills, improve their confidence, and work towards recognised qualifications. The role offers flexible, part-time hours during weekdays, making it ideal for qualified teachers, experienced tutors, or education professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-to-one Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths.
