Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a Functional Assessor for hybrid working in Oxford. The role includes assessing health and daily living needs via phone and in-person, performing WCA assessments, and compiling detailed reports for the DWP.

Full training is provided, with progression and a clear development path. The package offers £50,000 base plus opportunities for performance bonuses, with a 12-month performance-based top-up, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Registered adult nurse or related professional with post-registration experience.
• Confident communicator and report writer with IT literacy.
• NMC/HCPC registered and in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration experience in an adult setting.

Responsibilities

• Assessing claimants health and daily living via phone and face-to-face appointments.
• Perform WCA Work Capability Assessments and assess daily activities and work-related abilities.
• Review medical evidence and compile detailed reports for the DWP.
• Apply clinical expertise with emphasis on quality over speed.

Functional Assessor (WCA)

Location: Oxford

Salary: £50,000 (+1k at 12 months - Performance based)

Nurses | OTs | Physios

Full Time - Hybrid - Monday-Friday, 9 - 5
Part time options - 3 or 4 days

The Role:

• Assessing claimants health & daily living via phone and face-to-face appointments.
• WCA - Work Capability Assessments - assess daily activities, functional ability and work related activities - claimant will be seeking universal credit/employment support allowance
• Use your critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
• Reviewing medical evidence & compiling detailed reports for the DWP
• Using your clinical expertise in a role that values quality, not speed
