Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a Disability Assessor in Oxford for a full-time hybrid role. You will assess claimants via phone and face-to-face visits, performing Work Capability Assessments, reviewing medical evidence, and drafting detailed reports for the DWP.

The position offers hybrid working, a £50,000 base salary with a potential £1,000 uplift after 12 months based on performance, and comprehensive benefits. Monday–Friday, with no weekends or night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with NMC or HCPC.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration experience in an adult setting.
• Strong report writing and IT literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Assess claimants' health and daily living via phone and face-to-face appointments.
• Conduct Work Capability Assessments (WCA) to evaluate daily activities and work-related capabilities.
• Review medical evidence and compile detailed reports for the DWP.
• Apply clinical expertise to ensure quality in assessments.

Full Time - Hybrid - Monday-Friday, 9 - 5 Part time options - 3 or 4 days

The Role:

• Assessing claimants health & daily living via phone and face-to-face appointments.
• WCA - Work Capability Assessments - assess daily activities, functional ability and work related activities - claimants will be seeking universal credit/employment support allowance
• Use your critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
• Reviewing medical evidence & compiling detailed reports for the DWP
• Using your clinical expertise in a role that values quality, not speed

Who We’re Looking For:

• Registered Adult Nurse, Registered Mental health nurse, Registered Learning disability nurse, occupational therapist or Physiotherapist
• Minimum 1-year post-registration experience in an adult setting
• NMC/HCPC registered
• Confident communicator & report writer – IT literate
