Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a Functional Assessor in Frimley to support DWP assessments for Work Capability and PIP. This full-time, hybrid role offers a salary of £40,000–£42,000 with progression and a thorough 12-week paid training programme.

You will assess claimants’ functional ability via phone and in person, review medical evidence, and produce detailed reports. Ideal candidates are registered nurses, OTs, paramedics or physiotherapists with at least one year post-registration

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse, OT, Paramedic or Physiotherapist with post-registration experience.
• Minimum 1-year post-registration experience in an adult setting.
• NMC/HCPC registered and IT-literate.
• Ability to manage a clinical caseload independently.
• Experience working with complex health conditions.
• Sponsorship not available.

Become a Functional Assessor, supporting individuals applying for Work Capability Assessments (WCA) or PIP on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Your Role:

• Assessing claimants functional ability/work related activates and daily activities via phone and face-to-face appointments.
• Reviewing medical evidence & compiling detailed reports for the DWP
• Using your clinical expertise in a role that values quality, not speed

Essential Criteria:

• Registered Nurse, OT, Paramedic, Physio
• Minimum 1-year post-registration experience in an adult setting
• NMC/HCPC registered
• Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
• Confident communicator & report writer – IT literate
• Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
• Experience working with complex health conditions
