Job summary

Gaia Recruitment is recruiting for PIP and WCA Functional Assessors for a Guilford assessment centre with start dates from September. You will use clinical expertise to conduct assessments and produce evidence-based reports to inform DWP decisions.

• Current, unrestricted NMC or HCPC registration (RGN, RMN, RNLD, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist).
• Minimum of 12 months post-registration clinical experience.
• Strong written communication and clinical reasoning skills.
• Confidence working with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments for PIP or WCA claimants, face-to-face, by telephone or video.
• Analyse how health condition or disability affects daily life and ability to work.
• Produce clear, concise, evidence-based reports for the DWP.
• Manage your own caseload within a supportive, clinically led team.

We're recruiting PIP and Work Capability Assessment (WCA) Functional Assessors on behalf of our client for their Guilford assessment centre, with start dates available from September onwards.

This is a varied, role where you'll use your clinical expertise to carry out either PIP and WCA assessments, producing high-quality, evidence-based reports that help inform decisions on health-related benefits. You'll receive a full, structured training programme to DWP approval, with ongoing clinical support and development.
