Job summary

Maven Group Ltd is recruiting for a WCA Functional Assessor. The role involves conducting 5 client assessments daily via telephone, video or in person, to understand how a disability or health condition affects work capacity and to produce reports for the DWP.

Training is provided, and you will be paid a full salary during training. Offers include a starting salary of £48,000 per annum, with a raise to £49,000 after 12 months, and both full-time and part-time options.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse (RGN or RMN) or HCPC qualified physiotherapist or occupational therapist with 1 year+ post-registration experience.
• Proactive and keen to learn.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Competent IT and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 5 client assessments per day via telephone, video or face-to-face.

Job description

What does the WCA Functional Assessor role involve?

The WCA Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work-related ativity. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health

No experience as a WCA Functional Assessor is needed as full training will be provided which you will be paid your full-time salary for. All we expect is that you will have 1 years post graduate experience as an RGN, RMN, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and hold an NMC or HCPC registration.
