What does the WCA Functional Assessor role involve? The WCA Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work-related ativity. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
No experience as a WCA Functional Assessor is needed as full training will be provided which you will be paid your full-time salary for. All we expect is that you will have 1 years post graduate experience as an RGN, RMN, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and hold an NMC or HCPC registration.
