Maven Group Ltd in Exeter is seeking a WCA Functional Assessor to perform client assessments and prepare reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). You will evaluate how health conditions impact work-related activities and contribute to eligibility decisions by gathering information.
The role offers a starting salary of £42,000 per annum, with full-time and part-time options (3–5 days), a hybrid/home working arrangement with on-site presence in Exeter, and a pension scheme.
The WCA Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work‑related activities. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
No experience as a WCA Functional Assessor is needed as full training will be provided which you will be paid your full‑time salary for. All we expect is that you will have 1 years post graduate experience as an RGN, RMN, RLND, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Paramedic and hold an NMC or HCPC registration.
