Job summary

Randstad UK is recruiting Teaching Assistants for full-time supply and long-term placements in Crawley. Roles run Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, offering consistent hours and weekly PAYE pay.

You will support primary and secondary students with reading, writing and maths, assist teachers, and help learners with SEN needs, while maintaining a safe classroom and flexible placement across schools.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability during standard school hours (Mon-Fri 8:30–15:30).
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Reliable, proactive work ethic and adaptability.
• Strong proficiency in English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS check on Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Proof of right to work in the UK and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Assist class teachers with daily lesson delivery, classroom setup, and resource management.
• Provide targeted 1:1 or small-group support to help students improve in reading, writing, and maths.
• Support pupils with additional needs (SEN), including those with ASD, ADHD, or those requiring behavioural support.
• Maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and classroom dynamics.
