Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant Level 2 for a welcoming primary school in Kettering, starting September 2026. The role is full-time and permanent, with a focus on supporting learning across the classroom and delivering targeted interventions.

You will work alongside teachers and support staff to create an engaging, inclusive environment where children develop confidence, readiness to learn, and positive attitudes to education.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a primary school or educational setting.
• Caring, patient and adaptable approach with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
• Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing classroom culture.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and good learning habits.
• Monitor pupil progress and feed back to teachers.
