Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant with a driving licence to support schools across West Sussex and Surrey. The role offers Monday to Friday hours during term time, with a fixed school day from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM and a stable, long-term contract.

You will deliver 1:1 and small-group support for literacy, phonics and numeracy, assist with classroom setup and supervision, and help pupils with SEN (ASD/SEMH).

Qualifications

• Driving Licence & Car: Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle (Essential).
• Availability: Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, standard school hours).
• Experience: Prior experience supporting children or young people (in schools, nurseries, sports coaching, care, or youth work).
• Skills: Strong communication skills and confident foundational English and Maths.
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) and valid Right to Work in the UK.

Because our partner schools are spread across rural and suburban locations with varying public transport links, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this position.

This role provides consistent Monday-to-Friday school hours on an ongoing term-time contract. It is ideal for an experienced support assistant, an aspiring teacher, or someone with a background in childcare, care, or youth work who wants regular, full-time weekday work close to home.
