Job summary

Randstad Education in West Sussex and Surrey is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistant with a valid UK driving licence to support schools across the region. The role is long-term, full-time, with Monday to Friday hours and term-time contracts.

You will assist with literacy, phonics and numeracy, provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, and help prepare classroom materials while maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment. Driving to diverse campuses is essential.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence & Car: Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle (Essential).
• Availability: Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, standard school hours).
• Experience: Prior experience supporting children or young people (in schools, nurseries, sports coaching, care, or youth work).
• Skills: Strong communication skills and confident foundational English and Maths.
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) and valid Right to Work in the UK.

Looking for a stable, full-time classroom role across West Sussex or Surrey? We are seeking a reliable, adaptable Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term placement supporting schools across West Sussex and Surrey. Because our partner schools are spread across rural and suburban locations with varying public transport links, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this position.

This role provides consistent Monday-to-Friday school hours on an ongoing term-time contract. It is ideal for an experienced support assistant, an aspiring teacher, or someone with a background in childcare, care, or youth work who wants regular, full-time weekday work close to home.
