Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants for long-term, full-time placements across West Sussex and Surrey. You will support pupils with core literacy, phonics, and numeracy, while assisting teachers to maintain routines from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children or young people, strong English and Maths, and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply). This role offers term-time balance and ongoing placement continuity.

Qualifications

  • Full Monday to Friday availability during standard school hours.
  • Prior experience supporting children or young people (in schools, nurseries, sports coaching, care, or youth work).
  • A patient, proactive, and resilient approach to pupil support.
  • Strong communication skills and confident foundational English and Maths.

Responsibilities

What Your Role Will Involve


  • Working full-time hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) alongside class teachers to maintain smooth daily routines.

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 learning support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, or speech and language delays.

  • Helping create an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment throughout the school day.

  • Supporting classroom preparation, learning displays, and break-time monitoring.
