Job summary

Barons Court Primary School and Nursery, part of TKAT, is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive team in Westcliff-on-Sea. The role involves delivering engaging teaching, one-to-one support, and small-group learning to pupils with ADHD and neurodiversity, under the guidance of the class teacher.

This fixed-term contract runs 39 weeks per year, with a start date immediate and ending 21 July 2027.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with young children.
  • Willingness to work as part of a supportive teaching team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist delivery of engaging teaching in the classroom, one-to-one and in small groups.
  • Support development of resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies.

32.5hrs per week, Monday - Friday 08.30 - 3.30pm, 39 weeks per year

We are looking for a dedicated and inclusive SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and collaborative team.

Please note this is a fixed-term contract ending on 21st July 2027.

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Do you have a patient, compassionate nature and a genuine interest in supporting children with ADHD and neurodiversity in their learning and development?

You will assist in the delivery of engaging and innovative teaching within the classroom, on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. Working with the teacher you will assist with the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies to ensure provisions support individual learning needs.
