Job summary

Crerar Hotels in Scotland is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep our facilities in excellent condition. You’ll handle joinery, plumbing, electrical work, painting, tiling and general DIY, working independently with a focus on safety and cost recording.

This is a customer-facing role with a positive attitude and clear communication. The position offers an hourly rate of £13.26 and opportunities for training, progression and employee benefits across our hotels.

Qualifications

• Experience as handyman or similar role.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery, plumbing, electrical work, painting, tiling and general DIY tasks.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance across facilities.
• Assist contractors and manage small projects.
