Job summary

Gold Education Recruitment is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chelmsford on a full-time basis. You will provide 1:1 pupil support, assist with small group interventions and general classroom activities to help children access the primary curriculum.

Applicants should have at least 3 months UK experience in education, a patient and supportive approach, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months UK work experience in an education setting.
• Full-time availability.
• Previous experience working with children.
• Patient, caring and supportive approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 pupil support to individual learners.
• Assist literacy and numeracy activities within class.
• Support small groups with targeted interventions.
• Help create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.
• Encourage pupil confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
