Job summary

Gold Education Recruitment is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chelmsford on a full-time basis. You will provide 1:1 pupil support, assist with small group interventions and general classroom activities to help children access the primary curriculum.

Applicants should have at least 3 months UK experience in education, a patient and supportive approach, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

Gold Education Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Chelmsford on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in education who is passionate about supporting children and helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support, work with small groups and assist within the classroom, supporting pupils with a range of learning and additional needs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting individual pupils on a 1:1 basis
• Helping children access the primary curriculum
• Supporting literacy and numeracy activities
• Working with small groups on targeted interventionsHelping pupils remain focused, engaged and motivated
• Supporting children with a range of learning and additional needs
• Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour
• Working closely with Class Teachers, SENCOs and support staff

What We're Looking For

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 months' UK work experience within an education setting.

• A genuine passion for children's learning and development
• The ability to work effectively as part of a school team

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, SEND Teaching Assistant, 1:1 Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor would be advantageous.
