Job summary

Gold Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming secondary school in Chelmsford, starting ASAP on a full-time basis. The role involves 1:1 support and small group work to help students access the curriculum and develop confidence and social skills.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 months UK education experience, be committed to supporting diverse abilities, and work effectively with teachers and staff. A rewarding opportunity within education.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work 1:1 with students and in small groups.
• Patience and empathy when supporting learners with varying needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to students with learning and additional needs.
• Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate in lessons.
• Help students develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.
• Assist groups with targeted learning activities where required.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
