Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient and committed Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant for a 1:1 and small group role in a well-resourced SEN school in Chelmsford. The role covers both primary and secondary classes with a focus on pupil wellbeing and personalised support.

You will work to EHCP targets, support communication and emotional regulation, and help create a calm, positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain one.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
