Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream Primary School in Abergavenny to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP. The role involves one-to-one support for pupils with ALN and helping them access learning within the classroom.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent, have experience in a Primary setting, and demonstrate patient, adaptable communication to support individual needs.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children within a Primary School setting
• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs / ALN
• Experience providing one-to-one support
• A patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for pupils with ALN and help them access learning
• Support pupils to engage successfully within the classroom
• Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Abergavenny, supporting them with their search for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The school provides an inclusive learning environment where children with a range of needs are supported to develop their confidence, independence and engagement with learning.

The school is looking to take on a Level 3 Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will work with children on a one-to-one basis, providing individual support for pupils with ALN and helping them access learning and engage successfully within the classroom.

The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children within a Primary School setting
• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs / ALN
• Experience providing one-to-one support
• A patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
