Lyrebird Health is hiring a Software Engineer to maintain and grow a clinician-focused platform, spanning a SvelteKit front end and Python services powering document generation with large language models. You will own features end to end, help set engineering standards, and collaborate with leadership to translate roadmaps into shippable work.

You'll work across the full stack, from UI to database, API services to model tuning, with emphasis on quality, safety and maintainability while shipping

Qualifications

• Strong production-level TypeScript and modern front-end framework experience, ideally Svelte and SvelteKit.
• Strong Python skills, including data structures, async programming, and building APIs with FastAPI and Pydantic.
• Hands-on experience integrating large language models into products, including prompt engineering and structured output.
• Solid Postgres and SQL skills, including schema design, indexing and query performance.
• Experience shipping and operating software on AWS, with Docker, and strong observability and testing practices.
• Breadth to work across the full stack and good judgment on when to lead or learn.

Responsabilités

• Deliver features end to end, from database to API services to UI improvements.
• Build new clinical document types, including prompt design, editor view, and safe feature-flag releases.
• Improve speed and cost of document generation by tracing requests and tuning models and prompts.
• Integrate with healthcare systems and standards like FHIR and HL7.
• Investigate production incidents with tools like Sentry and CloudWatch to find root causes.
• Break down work into clear, shippable steps and review teammates' code to maintain high engineering standards.
