Lyrebird Health is hiring a Software Engineer to maintain and grow a clinician-focused platform, spanning a SvelteKit front end and Python services powering document generation with large language models. You will own features end to end, help set engineering standards, and collaborate with leadership to translate roadmaps into shippable work.
You'll work across the full stack, from UI to database, API services to model tuning, with emphasis on quality, safety and maintainability while shipping
We’re hiring a Software Engineer to maintain and grow the platform that clinicians rely on every day. You’ll work across the whole stack and in both of our main repositories: the SvelteKit front end and the Python services that power document generation with large language models. You’ll take features from idea to production, keep the platform fast, reliable and cost-effective, and work closely with our Product Engineer and engineering leadership to turn the roadmap into shippable work. You’ll also help set the engineering standard for the team through thoughtful code review and sound technical judgement. This role suits a broad, highly capable engineer who enjoys owning problems end to end rather than staying in one layer. You’ll be comfortable moving from a Svelte component to a FastAPI service to a database migration in a single afternoon, and you’ll enjoy the detective work of tracing a slow request or getting to the root cause of a production incident. You’ll lead in some areas and learn from teammates in others, and you’ll care as much about quality, safety and maintainability as you do about shipping.
Lyrebird Health is transforming the quality and accessibility of healthcare by automating clinicians’ most time-consuming tasks. Thousands of clinicians across multiple disciplines use Lyrebird every day in environments where accuracy, safety, and time matter deeply. Everything we build is grounded in earning trust, reducing cognitive load, and delivering meaningful impact at scale.
Every hour a clinician spends on paperwork is an hour taken away from patients. The code you write here goes straight into the hands of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals, giving them time back and helping them deliver better, safer care. If you want your engineering to have a real, visible impact on people’s health, this is the place to do it.
We’re building a team that reflects the diversity of the people who benefit from our work. We want Lyrebird to be a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to thrive. If you’re from an underrepresented background in tech, we strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet every requirement.
