Job summary

Engineius is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our growing IT team in Birmingham, focusing on a Python-based algorithm for data processing, ML models, and stochastic optimisation.

You will improve an existing codebase, work on logistics and routing optimisations, and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience using Python, including libraries such as NumPy, SciPy and Pandas.
  • Ability to maintain, improve and optimise an existing codebase for robustness and performance.
  • Experience working with an object-oriented language in a commercial application.
  • Experience designing or implementing logistics, routing or optimisation algorithms in Python.
  • Strong mathematical or statistical knowledge, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with algorithm design, Monte Carlo methods, probabilistic models or stochastic optimisation.
  • Experience with logistics or route optimisation problems.
  • Experience with EF Core and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, ideally AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Python-based algorithms and data processing solutions to support logistics and routing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software.

Job description

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our growing IT team and help develop technology that is already making a real-world impact.

In this role, you will work mainly with a Python-based algorithm involving highly optimised data processing, machine learning models and stochastic optimisation approaches.
