AnyVan Ltd. is seeking a pragmatic engineer to join our Consumer squads, focusing on turning real-world logistics challenges into scalable software. You’ll work on production-grade systems that match demand with driver availability using AI-driven pricing and routing.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering role in a scale-up or fast-growing product environment.
• Understanding of APIs, data models and system interactions.
• Exposure to cloud environments and modern deployment workflows.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
• Bias toward action and delivering value quickly, then iterating.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to go beyond what is asked.
• Solid coding skills and a solutions-focused approach.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to influence beyond code.
• Bonus: exposure to marketplaces, logistics, pricing, or ecommerce systems.

We're looking for a pragmatic engineer who enjoys solving business problems through technology to work with our Consumer teams. These squads focus on the customer journey from attraction to sign up and work closely with marketing and sales.

What you'll be doing:

• Design and build production-grade systems that scale

• Help operate and improve systems in production

• Write clean, pragmatic, well-tested code with long-term maintainability in mind

• Tackle full stack technical challenges and data flows

• Collaborate with product and non-technical teammates to understand requirements

• Learning best practices around scalability, performance, and system design

What you'll bring:

Location and Eligibility:

• UK based, able to commute to our offices in Hammersmith

• Happy to be onsite at least 3 days per week
