Job summary

AYES, a multinational engineering and technology consultancy, is seeking an experienced Fuel System Engineer in Bristol, UK, to develop, integrate and verify fuel systems for aerospace and defence applications. You will collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Design, Manufacturing and Verification & Validation teams on complex aircraft components.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Approximately 5 years of professional experience in the Aerospace industry.
• Experience with Fuel Systems, Fluid Systems, Hydraulic Systems or Aircraft Systems.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and support the definition of fuel system requirements and specifications.
• Support the development and integration of aircraft fuel systems and associated components.
• Work with fuel lines, tubes, ducts, valves, fittings and other fluid system components.
• Support the integration of fuel systems with other aircraft systems and structures.
• Perform and support engineering analyses related to fluid flow, pressure, performance and system behaviour.
• Contribute to system verification, validation and qualification activities.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications and engineering requirements.
• Work closely with Mechanical, Systems, Manufacturing and Test & Validation teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and the resolution of engineering problems and non-conformities.
• Participate in technical reviews and project meetings with international engineering teams.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
