Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting a Verification Assurance Officer (VAO) in Bath to join a frontline fraud prevention team at Jobcentre and Service Centres. The role centres on interviews and verification of documents to prevent fraud entering the welfare system.

You will conduct robust interviews, raise fraud awareness among colleagues, and provide practical support on fraud prevention while managing MI and frontline processes.

Qualifications

• Interview claimants and verify identification, housing costs, children and childcare costs elements of Universal Credit.
• Support verification processes by strengthening fraud controls on the front line.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and further evidence interviews and verification activities within Jobcentre/Service Centre sites.
• Lead customer education sessions with colleagues to explain responsibilities and consequences of non-compliance.
• Collate and maintain accurate Management Information (MI) as directed by analysts and performance teams.
