Job summary

The Verification Assurance Officer role places you in a new team across Jobcentre and Service Centres, based at a local site in Braintree. You will interview claimants, verify documents, and work with colleagues to prevent fraud from entering the welfare system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct robust interviews to verify documents for identification, housing costs, children and childcare costs within Universal Credit claims.
• Lead customer education sessions to explain responsibilities and consequences of non-compliance.
• Maintain accurate Management Information (MI) and report trends to analysts and performance teams.
• Travel between sites may be required to support verification activities.
