Job summary

Government Recruitment Service in Poole is seeking a Verification Assurance Officer (Southern) to join a new team focused on fraud prevention at Jobcentre and Service Centre sites. The role involves interviewing claimants, strengthening verification controls, and working with colleagues to educate customers on responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly with claimants and colleagues.
• Skilled in interviewing and evidence gathering.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Jobcentre and Service Centre colleagues to conduct initial and further evidence interviews and verification activities.
• Conduct robust interviews for verification of documents related to Identification, housing costs, and childcare elements of Universal Credit.
• Lead customer education sessions with Jobcentre colleagues to explain customer responsibilities and consequences of non-compliance.
• Collate and maintain accurate Management Information (MI) as directed by analysts and performance teams.
• Frequent travel between sites may be required.
