Job summary

Sir Devonshire Square is a bold, boutique hotel near Liverpool Street seeking a friendly Front Office Agent to welcome guests and manage check-ins, check-outs and payments with a focus on creating memorable stays.

You will serve as the local concierge, handling guest requests and guiding them to local attractions, while working closely with a team during a fast-paced shift system. Benefits include paid time off, wellness support, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Front-facing hospitality experience or guest-centric environment.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Experience with front desk systems, Opera is a plus.
• Organised, reliable and detail-oriented.
• Flexible for mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm smile and make them feel at home from arrival to departure.
• Manage front desk tasks including check-ins/outs and payments.
• Be the go-to for local recommendations and guest requests.
• Handle bookings and guest communication across platforms like Booking.com and Expedia.
• Collaborate with team to stay organized during busy periods.

Salary: £28,500 per annum; Location: Sir Devonshire Square, City of London; Working Hours: Full time, average 40 hours per week (5 shifts on, 2 days off)

Your Role as Front Office Agent:

• Welcome guests with a warm smile and ensure they feel at home from arrival to departure


• Keep things running smoothly at the front desk, from check-ins and check-outs to taking payments


• Be the go-to person for local recommendations and guest requests, creating little moments of delight


• Take ownership of bookings and guest communication across platforms like Booking.com and Expedia


• Work closely with the team to keep things clear and under control – even when it gets busy

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience in a front-facing role within hospitality or a similar guest-centric environment


• A friendly, professional communicator with solid spoken and written English


• Confidence using booking and front office systems such as Opera is a plus


• Someone who is organised, reliable, and takes pride in the details


• Flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
